Merit is not surveillance. You choose what to stake, who can vouch, and who can see the score. Kept promises raise karma. Broken ones leave a trail you can resolve.

Stake a promise with a counterparty.

Deliver by Friday. Repay a loan. Cover a shift. Both sides see the terms before karma can move. An unsigned stake is not a score event.

Weight scales with their own Merit trail. Anonymous noise does not move the rail. A vouch is a signed line, not a like.

When a stake breaks, either party opens a dispute. Resolve it and dispute health recovers. Leave it open and the rail shows the scar.
